An LED backlight source refers to the use of Light light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to provide illumination behind a display panel, such as those found in televisions, monitors, and smartphones. LEDs are favored for backlighting due to their energy efficiency, brightness, and long lifespan. They offer superior contrast and color accuracy compared to traditional fluorescent lighting. There are two main types of LED backlighting: edge-lit, where LEDs are positioned around the edges of the screen, and full-array, where LEDs are distributed evenly across the back of the display. LED backlighting has become the standard for modern displays due to these advantages.
